Strike action is sometimes taken to win better wages and benefits at the bargaining table. Strike Captains are AUPE members who take on a leadership role to support their fellow members during strike action. This unique in-person course will prepare 2025 Strike Captains with all the tools, knowledge, and practice to lead an effective strike line with AUPE HQ support. You will learn how to help members report for their picket line duty, receive their strike pay, know their rights and responsibilities, and answer many of their questions while on the line. This course is offered frequently throughout the upcoming education period - register today!
