Bargaining Update - GSBC update #35

We have a new collective agreement

GSBC Update #35: We have a new collective agreement

We would like to announce that the majority of members have voted in favour of the tentative agreement reached with the mediator and the employer.

The voting results were:

  • 63.5% in favour.

  • 36.5% opposed.

  • 71% of eligible members participated.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude for your patience and perseverance over the past 20 months. This journey was challenging and required the involvement of two mediators before we reached a deal that could be put to a vote. We fully respect the decision made by the membership and are grateful for your solidarity and support throughout this process.

As per the new agreement, the employer will pay all retroactive pay within 90 days. More details on the implementation will follow in future updates.

Once again, thank you for your incredible patience and dedication. If you have any questions, please reach out to your negotiating team.

In solidarity,

Your GSBC Negotiating Team
